Universal Learner Courses are first-year courses open to anyone, with the credit decision left until the end. ASU Online Courses are the upper-level route for students already working toward a major.

Upper-level credit
When students are ready to earn upper-level credit toward their college major, 200+ online courses are available.
Students are on an accelerated path to a degree when they follow a career pathway.
Earning credit toward the major while in high school reduces time to degree.
Students are prepared for the rigor of becoming full-time, degree-seeking college students.
Exact timelines, accepted credits and remaining degree requirements vary by program and are determined through formal academic evaluation.
